The M-Audio Keystation 49e is an inexpensive, entry level, USB controller keyboard with 49 full-sized, velocity sensitive keys. Pitch and modulation wheel expression controls, and a volume/control slider, are easily accessible, as is a pair of Octave up/down increment buttons.
